Heading out on a Cannonball run

When he and his brother motored from Tampa to New York in 1955, Cannonball Adderley vaulted into the jazz clubs with a booming alto sax sound that became an indelible part of the bebop scene.

In honor of him, and those of us in the job market and recreating our careers, I end this week’s posts with a fabulous video of the Cannonball Adderley Sextet’s rendition of the “Work Song.” Happy weekend, all:
